Volume 3 - Villains
The lead-in to the third season, "Villains", brings the focus back to Sylar. Sylar, throughout the season, had his powers suppressed by the Shanti virus. Using a cure developed by Mohinder, he is able to regain his powers, and delivers the last line of the season: "I'm back."
So any ideas on whats gonna happen in the 3rd season, will the company get outted, will sylar come back and wreak havoc, who knows? 
I'm more intrigued by that fact that it's called Villains, plural.
tbh i'd like some "x-men styled" fights with loads of action going on lol.

Tim Kring had an exclusive interview with TV Guide discussing the Generations Finale (Powerless). Kring says that the fates of Niki and Nathan have not been decided and are up in the air, while Sylar (Zachary Quinto) will now return for Volume 3.
Initially Quinto was supposed to miss most of the Vol. 3 production because of his role in the new JJ Abrams Star Trek, but the writer's strike delaying Vol. 3 allowed for the re-write to have Sylar return earlier than expected.
Additionally, Kring mentions that Vol. 3 will have a "legion" of villains that will possibly join forces against the Heroes.
Here are the details:
The fate of Nathan, who was shot during a TV press conference, and of Niki, who may have died in an abandoned building explosion, are "up in the air and will be determined when we come back after the strike," Kring says. "Things are fairly dire for them both." Immortal Adam was teleported by Hiro (Masi Oka) into a coffin buried in the same Japanese cemetery where his father Kaito (George Takei), who was slain by Adam, is also buried. "It's poetic justice to have Adam end up in the same graveyard as Kaito," Kring notes. "We've given the audience no reason to believe that Adam can figure a way to get out of there. The fact that he can live forever makes this the most gruesome of internments. If this happened to any of us, at least we'd know we'd soon have the mercy of death. Not here."
Witchy, bitchy Elle, who wound up saving the lives of Mohinder (Sendhil Ramamurthy), Maya (Dania Ramirez) and little Molly (Adair Tishler), clearly sparked when Mohinder called her a hero. "Kristen Bell gave us the perfect reaction in that scene," Kring says. "For a moment there, Elle sees she's been given an opportunity to use her powers in a good way. And she absolutely likes the sound of that word 'hero.'" Not to worry. There are plenty more baddies coming after the writers' strike concludes. In fact, the title of Volume 3 — "Villains" — says it all.
"We've introduced a cadre of them over the course of the show and we're going to see them rise up," Kring says. "Just as the heroes have found each other to save the world, the villains will do the same with the opposite intent." And their numbers may be legion. "The Company has catalogued many of these people over the years. There may be more of them down in that basement than we have alluded to so far."
Will Sylar (Zachary Quinto) be their ringleader? After being electro-zapped by Elle, Mister Eyebrows escaped to a back alley and skeevily injected himself with Claire's (Hayden Panettiere) blood. Then, in a wicked salute to Popeye, he telekinetically grabbed a can of spinach and said, "I'm back!"
"Sylar getting his power back does not bode well for our heroes," says Kring, who admits there is one upside to the writers' strike: Originally, Quinto was not going to be available for much of Volume 3 because of his commitment to the new Star Trek film. Now, with the strike dragging on, he'll likely be done playing young Spock by the time Heroes returns to production.

Hmm... Seeing it'll be a while until Season 3 and I'm still suitably interested, I might give writing what'll happen a try. Haven't written on fanfiction.net in a while anyways. 
i just hope they dont add too many more people to it, cuz it risks pushing out some of the older, better characters
i just hope its got a faster pace than vol. 2

right what i think will happen is that sylar has lost his orgnal power, gets caught by the C and meets more 'villans' they all work together to get out
Peter takes up his brothers mantle(ify wiffy) and gets sad and lonely or gos away to some where far away so that he can be alone
while nathen may be back alve
nicki=dead
and the mussle mimic chick becomes a true hero in comic book style
hiro chills and relaxs on a vacation with ando with some life changeing outcomes
I do hope they pick up the pace a little. The season was great, nonetheless, but I get why people find it slow.

Just watched and a good episode.
Yeah we do have those existing villains, but I do think there will be more in Volume 3, or else I really don't think they would have named it as they have.
As for Adam, do you think he will ever get out? I think there is a possibility that he might.... somehow.
And as for the shooting, hopefully he won't survive. Any guesses of whom the assassin is?
We need more supercharged fights to make it a bit more fast paced like Season 1. They haven't really used their powers as much in this one, it's mainly been a history lesson.

I'm pretty pleased with the end of season two and somehow that it went down real fast in the end. I think it would have been really slow if it had taken like 12 more episodes to show us the conclusion as we saw it in the final episode.
Only damn thing is i can't wait to see how it's going to continue... Hopefully season three, or chapter three, will start early 2008...
BTW: I really cracked up at the fact that "Mr. Eyebrows", as he was referred to earlier, is going to play young Dr. Spock If that isn't Irony, I don't know what is...

Am I the only one worries that it was noah bennet who shot nathan? It looked like him exiting at the end..........I liked him turning into doing bad for good reasons instead of clearcut bad guy....h well.
I hope adam gets brought back, he was genuinely interesting (although i was hoping he was going to be more complex than just evil genocide badguy) his desperate-insane look when facing off with hiro at the end was pure gold. I also didnt think hiro could be so cruel to him, at least put him at back in the dark ages or in antarctica (freezing at least may keep him unconsciouss) but the grave.......thats cold.

i'm pleased with the ending too. i'm glad it wasn't just like chapter one, that everything just happened like the prophecies already told.
i think adam will come back. some one will simply dig him up i guess. seemed like you could hear him screaming on the surface...but that's just curel, leaving him there. but putting him in the dark ages would have done no good, it would have been as if he was never gone, given he survived 400 years again without getting beheaded.
nathan will get some of peters blood (he has claires powers, should work) and will be up and flying again.
but the whole villains thing promises to up the pace, they realy could do with some more action, without loosing the complexity of the plot.
and i hope we see a whole lotta more new characters, i have the feeling that there will be something like a mass awakening of "heroes/villains".
the fact that the creator talked about the companies basment makes me itchy, sounds like there are some evil hijos de putas lurking down there. can't wait. gonna freeze myself.
i have the feeling they might kill nikki to make room for new heroes, i'm not sure though.
i love super- villains, this will be so much fun.

Maury and Adam - fair enough. The only two villains from your list they could plausibly use in volume 3.
HRG is just looking out for his family. He may be forced by the company to do wrong but I wouldn't call him a "villain".
Angela Petrelli is just trying to better the world in her own misguided way. I wouldn't class her as a villain either.
And Linderman is dead (hopefully).

I think that it was HRG who shot Nathan too. It did look like him leaving and is the sort of thing the company used to make him do (He's good at it).
I hope they bring Adam back in volume 3, he was the only new character that I actually liked this season.
I have two problems with the multiple villains thing. The first is that they could overload the show with too many new characters (which I feel they did this season) and secondly I don't thing Sylar is a group person. Seems to me it'd be more like Sylar to just kill the group so he could have more powers.
